Common questions

How do I get ElaEat?

ElaEat is in beta on iPhone. Use the button on the home page to get the beta. It runs through TestFlight, Apple’s app for trying apps before release.

A number looks off. Is something wrong?

Probably not. Calories, protein, carbs and fat are AI estimates based on typical foods and portions, so they can be off, especially for restaurant meals and home cooking. If one looks badly wrong, tell the assistant what you actually had, or email us the meal so we can improve.

How do I delete my data?

Go to Settings, then Delete your data. You can erase one kind of data or everything. Deleting the app removes it all too. Our server keeps no copy of your plans or chats; to have your request records deleted sooner, email us.

How do I stop sharing data with OpenAI?

You can withdraw AI data sharing at any time in Settings. After that nothing more is sent, and the assistant stops answering until you agree again. Read more in our privacy policy.

I have allergies or a medical diet. Can I use ElaEat?

ElaEat avoids the allergies and foods you tell it about, but it can’t check what’s in a shop-bought or restaurant meal, so always read labels and ask. If your diet is for a medical reason, check any change with your doctor or dietitian. We’re not dietitians.

Can I suggest a feature?

Please do. Email hello@elaeat.app with what you were trying to do. Small ideas are welcome too.
